Food Web

23 01 2012

There are different species of animals and plants found in a habitat. They form interlinked food chains called a food web.

The food web shows the interdependence of organisms in a community found in a habitat. If one population of a species changes, other populations will also be affected. If a species depends only on one food source, then, the chances of survival of that species will be greatly affected when the food source no longer exists. But, if that species eats more than one food, this will increase it chances of survival.
