Endangered and Extinct Species

Endangered species are plants or animals that face the risk of extinction. Orangutans, Sumatran tigers and Asian lions are just a few examples of endangered animals. Rafflesia, the biggest flower is an example of endangered plant. Extinct species on the other hand, no longer exist, such as dodo. There are many factors threaten the survival of plants and animals for example cutting down trees excessively leads to the destruction of the habitat of animals and the shortage of food for animals.
